The Panther Playhouse at Bartlett High School presents PIPPIN by Roger O. Hirson with music and lyrics by Stephen Schwartz. This production runs April 4th-7th at the Bartlett Performing Arts and Conference Center.
A mysterious troupe of circus performers, guides Pippin, son of King Charlemagne, on his quest to find an extraordinary life. Pippin searches through the glories of the battlefield, the temptations of the flesh, and the intrigues of political power, only to ultimately discover true happiness is found in every day, ordinary life. The production stars Shy’Kira Allen (Leading Player), Caleb Medlin (Pippin), Noah Jobbins (Charles), Simon Sutton (Lewis), Rachel Henry (Fastrada), Anna Wright (Berthe), Ella Sego (Catherine), and Steele Bowers (Theo). The cast also includes ensemble members Elizabeth Bennett, Sarah Cornelison, Aubree Farrell, McKenna Fleshman, Riya Golden, Kaelyn Grubbs, Zoe Hardin, Kelsi Kramer, Sun Mi Ko, Erin McKee, Meg McVay, Kaelin Mitchell, Taina Pardo, Courtney Powell, Brianna Rebich, Amara Trammell, Katlyn Young, Nylan Barr, Luke Dabney, Cameron Hubbard, Joe Kusmierz, Josh Morrow, Jack Powell, Holden Rogers, Nick Shelhamer, Ben Sutton, and Dominic Tribo. This production is directed and choreographed by Kirie Walz, musical direction by Paul Whited, with technical direction by Kevin Rogers, and orchestra direction by Jessica Burmingham.
