While candidly disclosing hilarious and touching stories from their home lives, the tweens spell their way through a series of (potentially made-up) words, hoping never to hear the soul-crushing, pout-inducing, life un-affirming "ding" of the bell that signals a spelling mistake. Six spellers enter; one speller leaves a champion! At least the losers get a juice box.&nbsp;&#8203;<br /><br />The production stars Morgan Conner as Rona Lisa Perretti, Elliot Lear as Vice Principal Douglas Panch, Nate Freeman as William Barfee, Alyssa McNinch as Olive Ostrovsky,&nbsp;Chase Taylor as Chip Tolentino, Anora Moyer as Loggaine Schwartzandgrubenniere, Bryce Goodson as Leaf Coneybear, Ainsley Keegan as Marcy Park, and Malachi Stewart as Mitch Mahoney.&nbsp; &nbsp;The show also features an ensemble starring Brylee Harber, Hayley Lunsford,&nbsp;Charles Johnson, Kylee Oldham, Joshua Orozco, and Adalee Walker.&nbsp;<br /><br />This production is directed by Kirie Walz, with technical direction by Kevin Rogers and designed by BHS theatre students.&nbsp; &nbsp;<br /><br />Bartlett High School is located at 5688 Woodlawn St, Bartlett, TN 38134. Get ready to duck a quarterstaff or two &ndash; you won&rsquo;t want to miss a moment of the swashbuckling fun!</span><span>&nbsp; Closing out the season, the Panther Playhouse is thrilled to bring back the show that never was &ndash; </span><strong><em><span>Hairspray</span></em></strong><em><span>. </span></em><span>In the spring of 2020, just a few weeks away from opening night, BHS students left for spring break expecting to open the very first show in the new theatre only to never return for the remainder of the school year.&nbsp; This spring the show will finally open and tell the story of <span>the lovable plus-size teen, Tracy Turnblad, who has only one desire &ndash; to dance on the popular "Corny Collins Show." When her dream comes true, Tracy is transformed from a social outcast to a breakout star.
