Bartlett High School’s Panther Playhouse presents Hairspray by Mark O’Connell and Thomas Meehan with music by Marc Shaiman and lyrics by Marc Shaiman and Scott Wittman. This production runs March 26th-April 4th at Bartlett High School.
It's 1962 in Baltimore, and the lovable plus-size teen, Tracy Turnblad, has only one desire – to dance on the popular "Corny Collins Show." When her dream comes true, Tracy is transformed from social outcast to sudden star. She must use her newfound power to dethrone the reigning Teen Queen, win the aﬀections of heartthrob, Link Larkin, and integrate a TV network... all without denting her 'do!

The cast also includes Sarah Cornelison, Josh Pettit, Katlyn Young, Gale Mullins, Maranda Mays, Alex Grant, Morio Snelling, Loren Watson, Riya Golden, Gistar Williams, Rachel Henry, Gage Harber, Lucas Rayborn, Liz Bennett, Steele Bowers, McKenna Fleshman, Holden Rogers, Audrey Miller, Annie Steward, Zoe Hardin, Amara Trammell, Katelyn Whitley, Zaria Crawford, Justice Jackson, Taina Pardo, Abigail Bledsoe, Aubree Farrell, Emma Less, Erin McKee, Nick Shelhamer, Kayley Perkins, Ethan Bogard, Meg McVay, and Brianna Rebich.
This production is directed by Kirie Walz, co-choreographed by Kirie Walz and Karl Robinson, with musical direction by Renee Kemper Murray, technical direction by Kevin Rogers, and orchestra direction by Trevor Rundell.
